EV: The 21st Century SNAFU

Beginning January, 2021, the Biden-Harris administration torpedoed the domestic energy industry, while a plethora of oil workers, along with many states and energy companies were understandably concerned that a Harris presidency would finish what the outgoing administration had started. A Harris-Walz administration would have set their sights on eliminating the American oil and gas industry, similar to the execution of the Keystone XL Pipeline and thousands of jobs. However, failing to take into consideration that fracking is very profitable, with thousands of well paying jobs, and therefore very popular. In 2022, for example, the fracking industry employed 121,000 Pennsylvanians with an average salary of $97,000, according to FTI Consulting. Moreover, it was fascinating that any specific climate issues were not cited in any significant measure during SleepyJoe’s tenure, and that the radical climate activists weren’t carrying on like their hair was on fire without protesting during the 2024 presidential campaign. President-elect Donald John Trump will get domestic energy back on track, which will result in lower energy prices and should carry over to the purchasing power of the American consumer.

With the Trump administration now essentially governing the country, and Biden-Harris nowhere to be found, the radical climate activists will continue put the squeeze on against fossil fuels, including effort to torpedo fracking, drilling and finishing the Keystone XL Pipeline. And let’s remember that the outgoing administration shoved the Inflation Reduction Act down the nation’s throats to the tune of $1.8 billion, which favored the green new deal and did nothing to reduce the inflation rates. They only went up.

A while back during an interview on “Face the Nation,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg was forced to defend the Biden-Harris administration’s pitiful record of building new electric vehicle charging stations that are key to fulfilling the EV revolution. Host Margaret Brennan asked the failed former mayor of South Bend, Indiana, who pushed a $7.5 billion budget allocation for this purpose 3.5 years ago, how the administration managed to build eight stations. Eight!! Buttigieg ridiculously stated Biden had planned on building 500,000 chargers by the end of the decade with “the very first handful of chargers are now already being physically built.” Let’s do some math…500,000 minus 8=499,992. What a great return for the allocated funding. And once the Federal Government got involved, there is an impending disaster, especially with the knuckleheads in the Biden administration, with Biden and Harris as the head knuckleheads. Let’s not forget that Buttigieg disappeared at the height of the Wuhan pandemic when the supply chain was collapsing.

With election day 2024 in the rear view mirror, with what was easily defined as the worst administration in American History, there were levels of PINO Biden blunders, gaffes, flaws, omissions, ignorance, incompetence, negligence, indifference, and now a final disappearance, that has damaged the country in a variety of areas. As we are talking about Biden’s career long failures in foreign policy, ask Robert Gates; turned his back on the only Democratic nation in the Middle East, who is our staunchest ally, while quite possibly back channeling with Iran; the shutting down of the domestic oil industry to placate the radical green agenda, as he ended the Trump sanctions, which led directly to Iran returning to pre-Trump oil production of 3.5 million barrels of oil per day, which in turn funded its anti-Israel proxies along with billions returned by the Biden administration that were held under the Trump sanctions. Furthermore, Biden sent $10B to Iran…unbelievable. And as for the radical green agenda, let’s not forget about electric vehicles!

Since shuffling into office, Biden and members of his administration kowtowed to the radical green agenda, as they continued to try to shove the electric vehicle down the throats of the American consumer. The Biden-Harris administration parroted the climate activists’ move to kill the combustion engine with very expensive electric cars, where the overwhelming majority of EV parts are made under the Communist moon of the draconian Communist Chinese Republic, who also is dominating the harvesting of the necessary minerals to make the batteries. Moreover, due to the CCR’s ever increasing piece of the EV puzzle, they will eventually flood the American automotive industry with cheaper cars…remember the Yugo! This will essentially kill the domestic automotive industry, a “bloodbath” if you will, paralleling what Biden did six hours into his failing administration… he killed the domestic oil industry. And what about the Americans who joined the unemployment line because this administration killed their jobs?

Furthermore, over three thousand automobile dealers had forwarded a letter to the Biden informing him that EV’s are/were not selling, even with a $22K reduction in price through manufacturers’ rebates and tax incentives. Even with the reduction in the astronomical prices, the average American cannot afford what the Federal government is pushing. Therefore, 25 states had filed legal actions against the Biden administration and its EPA policies.

Right now, EV’s are running at one percent of the market. By 2030, the very unrealistic expectations and demands that 50% of the vehicles on the road are EV’s. That is a job killer. And where does the electricity come from? Well, it ain’t the mouse on the treadmill, but steam driven turbines powered by fossil fuels. Nuclear energy? The greenies fear that too.

In January, 2021, just hours after his inauguration, DementiaJoe signed Executive Orders that shut down American energy production. Therefore, the United States went from energy independent to energy dependent, especially leaning on our adversaries who have the oil. And don’t forget that the American combustion automobile is close to zero emissions thanks to American technology. Yet the electric vehicle is being shoved down our throats. All done on purpose as the attack on American energy is promulgated by the socialist liberal progressive climate activists, who want to torpedo the American oil industry and the economy. Yet they fly…and fly…and fly!

And let’s not forget that just before the 2022 midterms, the Biden administration authorized the sale of 286 million (40%) barrels of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve in order to lower prices, which had a minimal effect at best, but in that political climate, to sure up the campaigns of progressive Democrats who were in danger of losing their jobs. The levels of oil in the SPR remain at 40 year record lows. So, in late 2023, DementiaJoe has authorized the purchase of 2.7 million barrels of oil to replenish what was sold. In order to fill the SPR, the number must be approaching 320M barrels of oil. Remember, the SPR is only to be used in times of war or natural disasters….The 1991 Gulf War and Hurricane Katrina for latest examples…not to lower prices! And the SPR was never refilled. Why? According to the worst president in American History, it’s TOO EXPENSIVE!!!! And just before the 2024 presidential election, Biden planned to release oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve.

The current administration is blind to the fact that the current state of the economy and high inflation rates have impacted families with increased bills to the tune of hundreds of dollars each month. So, these out of touch progressive Democrats and radical climate activists want struggling families to drop $60,000+ on an electric vehicle, when they are having trouble putting food on the table. And materials for the EV is in tight supply. As a matter of fact, the Ford Motor Company reported a $4.7 billion loss in calendar year 2023 as their EV’s sit on the dealers’ lots.

It does appear that the climate change proponents are the biggest culprits when it comes to their carbon footprint. Billionaires such as Bill Gates, Richard Branson and Jeff Bezos, including the “inventor” of the internet Al Gore, along with Biden’s former climate czar, the Heinz ketchup gigolo and anti-Semite, John Kerry, are included the top 10 percent of people by income who produce nearly 73 tons of carbon dioxide per person annually. In Europe and East Asia, the top earners release between 29 tons to 39 tons, respectively. At the other end of the income spectrum, however, the bottom 50 percent of North Americans emit 10 tons per person annually. In Europe and East Asia, the same category of earners release between 5 tons and 3 tons, respectively.

Non too shocking, Kerry represented the US at the The 2023 United Nations Climate Change Conference or Conference of the Parties of the UNFCCC, more commonly referred to as COP28, which was the 28th United Nations Climate Change conference, being held at Expo City, Dubai. He pushed for the complete elimination of the coal industry. What he forgets is that coal remains the single largest source of energy worldwide. And then, as Kerry pushed the EV, he doesn’t have a clue that electricity has to be produced in order to charge his precious battery powered cars. And then he gets on his private jet and flies home, as does each of the COP representatives. Just a bit hypocritical wouldn’t you say? This just goes to show the elite’s hypocrisy, along with their mantra: “Do as I say, not as I do.” And let’s not forget that under oath before The Congress, Kerry denied owning a private jet, but numerous congressmen corrected his lie to his face. He said the plane belonged to his wife…What a putz!

This idea of “emissions inequality” underscores how nations that are contributing to climate change the most are disproportionately affecting regions that produce far less greenhouse gases. But the report by the World Inequality Lab also shows that the planet’s wealthiest citizens are most responsible for rising temperatures than people who earn less money in those same nations.

A typical EV battery weighs approximately one thousand pounds, or about the size of a typical car trunk. The battery contains 25 pounds of lithium, 60 pounds of nickel, 44 pounds of manganese, 30 pounds of cobalt, 200 pounds of copper, and 400 pounds of aluminum, steel, and plastic. According to most specs, there are over 6,000 individual lithium-ion cells.

It should be concerning that the aforementioned toxic components come from mining. For instance, to manufacture each EV auto battery, you must process 25,000 pounds of brine for the lithium, 30,000 pounds of ore for the cobalt, 5,000 pounds of ore for the nickel, and 25,000 pounds of ore for copper. All told, you dig up 500,000 pounds of the earth’s crust for just – one – battery. Sixty-eight percent of the world’s cobalt, a significant part of a battery, comes from the Congo. Their mines have no pollution controls, and they employ children who die from handling this toxic material. And who has the contractual ownership of the African mines? ManchurianJoe’s financial friends of the draconian Communist Chinese Republic,who are using children to work the Congo mines essentially as slave labor. The climate activists don’t seem to care as long as they try to eliminate fossil fuels. What a horror, but the Democrats don’t care.

Don’t forget that it was former Senator Joseph Robinette Biden, Jr. (D-DE) who pushed for the CCR to receive “Most Favored Nation Status,” which is defined as: “Most Favored Nation (MFN) status is an economic position in which a country enjoys the best trade terms given by its trading partner(s). That means it receives the lowest tariffs, the fewest trade barriers, and the highest import quotas (or none at all). In other words, all MFN status trade partners must treat each other equally.” Just take a good, hard look at the US-CCR economic relationship. In a nutshell, the CCR simply benefits greatly as their exports exceed their imports. The CCR felt the squeeze with former President, and now President-elect Donald John Trump. They wanted him out, and in 2020, with disinformation supplied and supported by the DOJ, FBI and ardent radical Democrats during his tenure, torpedoed his run for re-election. They got their wish. So, with DementiaJoe as president things reversed to “normal,” as the Bidens greatly benefited financially. Just ask Hunter Biden as they average American family had trouble paying their bills.

In Biden’s “Inflation Reduction Act” bill, consumers were being offered a $7,500 tax break on the purchase of an EV. HOWEVER, and it’s a doozy, of the 75 electric vehicles available, only 25 fit the bill for the tax break. So, EV’s continue to tank! Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg maintains that EV’s will save you gas money. But he still believes that the average American can afford a $60,000 car, as food and gas prices reflect the rates of inflation! As a case in point, Ford announced a price increase for the F-150EV. Out of touch and disconnected! So, get more money!

Citing “significant material cost increases and other factors,” Ford’s announcement revealed price hikes between $6,000 and $8,500 for its electric vehicles. The F-150 Lightning Pro, for example, will sell for $46,974 — a $7,000 increase from the $39,947 charged for last year’s model. GM likewise increased the cost of its electric Hummer by $6,250 last month. Absolutely nothing to gain from EV’s. At the beginning of May 2024, Ford announced that they cannot move their EV’s and have lost over $100,000.00 per car.

The German “Allgemeiner Deutscher Automobil-Club” has the ADAC EcoTest, which is a popular ecofriendliness car rating system, which is based on its own measurements, independent from car manufacturers. And now ADAC focuses on electric vehicles. ADAC’s Ecotest calculated the kWh needed to fully charge a range of electric vehicle batteries.The results of tests for all-electric car models: E-car drivers have to plan for a particularly large amount of power loss for some models, but will have to pay extra. According to the ADAC Ecotest, a 100 kWh battery in a Tesla Model X100D actually needs 108.3 kWh. The Kia e-Niro Spirit has 72.3 kWh for a 64 kWh battery. The Jaguar I-PACE EV400 also needs at least 10 kWh more for a 90 kWh battery.

Imagine you’re in your EV on the New York State Thruway and the battery requires a recharge. There’s an upcoming rest stop and you decide to pull in, but also to recharge yourself. However, there’s a line for the few available charging stations. You will be there for just a little bit…like hours! Well, according to Kelly Blue Book, the lack of charging stations and slow charging times in many cases will cause delays. Even extreme weather conditions like below-zero temperatures can destroy a drivers’ ability to charge their vehicles. The Federal government set aside billions to build charging stations. How many were built? Less that 1%!!

Charging times can vary due to several factors:

-What is your power source?

-How much power can your EV handle?

-How can drivers charge their vehicles and get back on the road more quickly? Depending on an electric vehicle’s charging source and battery capacity, some drivers can charge their cars to 80% in as little as 30 minutes using a Level 3 fast charger.

According to a Daily Mail investigation, the average EV battery lasts about eight years. After that, there’s no hard and fast rule for knowing how much time you have left. Many EVs lose up to 12% of their charge capacity by the sixth year, and some lose even more. Case in point: By the time a Nissan Leaf reaches eight years old, it may have lost up to 20% of its battery life, AKA, 99 miles per charge vs. the 124 you got while it was new.

Batteries do not make electricity. They are a method to store electricity produced elsewhere, primary by coal, uranium, natural gas-powered plants, or diesel-fueled generators. So, to say an EV is a zero-emission vehicle is a fraudulent claim that the Federal government is sticking to. Also, since 40% of the electricity generated in the United States is from coal-fired plants, it’s logical that 40% of the EVs on the road are coal-powered. So, the electric car is a bigger contributor to pollution than the readily available and combustion efficient gasoline engine.

As a result of the demand for more electricity, the Japanese government recently announced a plan with the attempt to speed up the commercialization and deployment of nuclear power. Doesn’t this go against the radical, leftist ideology to crush the clean and abundant nuclear energy?

Here’s additional food for thought:

60,000 – The number of miles an EV has to be driven before all the co2 that went into building it equals the co2 produced by a comparable gas car driving the same number of miles – including the co2 that went into making the gas car.

100,000 – The number of miles an EV must be driven to have used 10% less co2 overall than a gas car driven the same distance. Also the number of miles, roughly, that an EV battery will give you before it needs to be replaced.

And if you drive a hybrid – the EV will never catch you. Hybrid cars create less co2 than EVs.

“Fewer drivers are interested in electric vehicles today than ever before,” as “electric cars are inferior products . . . bad for the environment and damaging to the economy in hidden ways,” explains Jason Isaac at The Hill. “The most obvious reason for consumer disenchantment is the hassle of charging EVs.”

Can someone please explain why the cackler is holding the charging plug that clips on? It’s not a gas pump!

During her miserably brief 2019 campaign for the White House, Harris’ campaign platform was that she favored a ban on fracking, following that with the Biden-Harris administration’s ongoing elimination of fossil fuels. Pennsylvanians and many others are already very concerned that a Harris presidency would adamantly continue where Biden’s left off, working to destroy the American oil and gas industry. And it was this administration’s decision to torpedo the domestic energy sector that led directly to the wars in the Ukraine v Russia and Israel v Hamas, the Houthis, Hezbolah, Islamic Jihad and of course Iran, who is selling black gold to the draconian Communist Chinese Republic after PINOJoe undid the Trump sanctions.

At the end of 2023, the House voted in favor of legislation striking down federal regulations targeting gas-powered vehicles which, according to the White House, was designed to “accelerate the transition to electric vehicles.” In a 221-197 vote, the House approved the Choice in Automobile Retail Sales (CARS) Act with 216 Republicans and five Democrats voting in favor. A group of more than a dozen Republican lawmakers, led by Representatives Tim Walberg(R-Mich)and Andrew Clyde(R-GA), introduced the legislative response to the Biden administration’s tailpipe emissions regulations unveiled months earlier. Walberg stated that “Biden’s mandate has always been unrealistic.”

A coalition of upper echelon military expressed their concerns regarding the Biden administration’s overzealousness in pushing the EV on the American consumer. In a letter addressed to Biden and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) Administrator Michael Regan, the officials led by retired U.S. Army Major General James Marks warned that the president’s plans for mass EV proliferation will increase reliance on Chinese supply chains. They wrote that regulatory initiatives aimed at incentivizing EV adoption “intensify America’s vulnerability to political interference by the Chinese Communist Party.” Gee, what a shock that ManchurianJoe is favoring the CCR over his own country!!

The House voted 209-198 to strike down a waiver on the “Buy American” requirements for taxpayer-funded EV charging stations. Biden issued the waiver so that Chinese-made charging stations could benefit from American tax dollars. Bidenomics simply does not work. Mandating EVs has never been a responsible or affordable solution.

Interestingly, when an EV catches fire, it takes an average of 20,000 gallons of water to extinguish the flames, but the car remains smoldering. A combustion engine vehicle takes an average of 500 gallons and is extinguished within one hour.

The White House had praised Hertz, one of the four largest car rental companies in the world, for its efforts to “substantially increase” electric vehicle (EV) rentals months before the company announced it would largely abandon EVs over increasing costs. Hertz Global Holdings announced in financial filings that it made the “strategic decision” to sell approximately 20,000 EVs from its U.S. fleet, or about one-third of its global EV fleet. This is a direct “in your face” to Biden, his extraordinarily expensive, hypocritical green agenda and the radical green activists. Nationwide, in most major cities, means an average sales price of around $25,000, but they are now older models in a market where battery and mileage performance will increase each year. Used EV prices plummeted by as much as 31.8% this year, according to automotive research firm iSeeCars.

During the most recent Arctic freeze that “umbrelled” the country, especially the midwest, resulted in many of Chicago’s Tesla owners frozen out of their EV’s by below zero temperatures. The owners were left to fight with dead batteries along with charging stations unable to function in the cold. Additionally, a charging station in Skokie, with 20 superchargers was packed all day as owners were waiting to plug in. As a matter of fact one disgruntled owner had to hire a tow truck to move his dead Tesla. It seems that a number of Teslas were unable to receive a charge and were abandoned by owners…Oh well!!

While campaigning President-elect Donald John Trump unequivocally told Ohio voters that if he lost his comeback bid in the November election, Biden would welcome imports of Chinese-designed, Mexican-built electric vehicles. This, Trump said, would trigger an economic “bloodbath” in the auto sector. And of course the bootlicking dregs of the corporate mainstream media attacked Trump for using that particular phrase to describe Biden’s acquiescence to the draconian Communist Chinese Republic and continues to place Americans last. This is the most anti-American president since Obama.

From my experience, the most efficient vehicle on the market are hybrids and sure cost a lot less than EV’s…a lot less. And don’t forget that the hybrid’s battery is self charging as the engine runs. It’s the best of both worlds! And the dependency on fossil fuels will be reduced…These vehicles should be the priority! Hybrid vehicle sales have surged 40% over the last five years. Consumer Reports stated the EV’s have 79% more issues than a combustion engine vehicle.

And the best selling domestic vehicle in 2024? It was the Ford F-150 pickup. Number two was the Chevy Silverado pickup. Number three was the Dodge Ram. Coming in the fifth spot was the Tesla Model Y, right after the Toyota Rav-4 and the Honda CRV. The Tesla places that well because of the Federal tax incentives($7500.00) and San Francisco’s “Clean Cars 4 All” program($9500.00).

But after all that the EV will still cost $50,000.00 plus and 64% of consumers regret purchasing EV’s and may return to the reliable combustion engine. This is simply the Biden-Harris administration dictating to the American consumer how to spend their money, as they adhere to the radical, progressives who push the green new deal.

Mt. Etna

From a scientific perspective, Mt. Etna, located in Italy, erupted for the 49th time in recorded history in July, 2024, The eruption resulted with clouds of ash that went nearly 15,000 feet into the air, and the airport in Catania, Sicily, was forced to shut down because the runway was unusable. Volcanoes usually spew volcanic ash, sulphuric dioxide, carbon monoxide, ejecting molten rock, pulverized pumice along with lava flows that travel hundreds of miles per hour. Hilariously, Representative Sandy Ocasio-Cortez(D-NY) wanted to plug up cows in order to prevent methane gas from being introduced into the atmosphere. Would that incompetent do-nothing want to also plug up volcanoes? Nothing would surprise me!

Lastly, “SNAFU” is slang from WWII defined as: “Situation Normal All Fucked Up!”
