While I am not pointing accusatory or jealous fingers at Canadian laws regarding immigration, liberal left believing Canadian citizens appear to be publicly hypocritical of admitting illegals into the Great North, despite having some of the toughest immigration laws on the books. There’s a story of a reporter canvassing Canadians on the street of an unnamed major city regarding the admittance of illegal immigrants. The reporter, who had an “illegal immigrant” standing next to her, asked the person (s) being questioned if they would welcome this illegal immigrant into their country. The response was that illegals would be welcomed with open arms. The followup question was far more definitive. The citizen (s) was asked if they would put up this illegal immigrant in their home or live in their neighborhood. The answer was a resounding “No!” Interesting twist of hypocritical liberalism.
The similarities of those Canadian citizens not in being in favor of welcoming illegals into their homes or neighborhoods parallels that of the unhinged, orthodox, extremists of the liberal left and the Democratic Obstructionist Liberal Socialist People’s Party. With Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA), along with her sidekick/puppet Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) pushing open borders and sanctuary cities/states, President Donald John Trump caught them in all their hypocrisy when he proposed busing illegal immigrants from the southern border Custom and Border Patrol holding facilities to cities and states across the country. Since the law dictates a 20 day holding period, the immigrants would have to be released into the country, with an immigration court appointment. It’s safe to say that 95%+ are no shows. To that end, the mayors of sanctuary cities and governors of sanctuary states have refused the admission of illegal immigrants into their domains. Sanctuary cities which do not cooperate with federal agencies on reporting illegal immigrants, such as New York, Los Angeles and Washington will be on the list to receive illegals they talk for, but don’t want. Leftist liberal hypocrisy at its best. Do as I say, not as I do.
Canada was one of the first countries to introduce a points based immigration system, going back to 1967. For an immigrant to be eligible for permanent residency in Canada, the applicant must hold a good score based on the Canada PR Points Calculator, which is also known as the Comprehensive Ranking System. The entry express points are used to assess and score and applicants profile and rank it in the entry pool. Skills, educational qualifications, proficiency and language, work experience and other factors are some of the conditions of the CRS scoring. The higher the score, the chances increase of receiving an invitation to apply from the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). Gee, what a novel idea…merit based admission.
The Canadian government uses the point based immigration system for most of its immigration programs, which allocate permanent residency to the applicants. The immigration department of Canada (IRCC) introduced this poised based system in 2015.
What is most interesting, is that Canada, considered one of the most liberal counties, has some of the strictest immigration laws. The United States should, must, implement immigration laws similar to those of Canada. American immigration laws need to be changed, so that the regulations can more closely mirror the tough, merit based Canadian immigration laws. This includes the following:
1-Revoke chain migration
2-Revoke amnesty
3-Prior to being elected, President Donald John Trump proposed rolling back birthright citizenship for U.S., born children of undocumented immigrants, referred to as “anchor babies.” Interestingly, former Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D-NV) said “no sane country” would give automatic citizenship to the children of illegal immigrants. Now, the orthodox, extremist, unhinged liberal left has completely flipped their stance in resistance to POTUSDJT.
4-Visa Card Lottery: The Trump administration embraced the RAISE Act (Reforming American Immigration for a Strong Economy) in August 2017. The RAISE Act seeks to reduce levels of legal immigration to the United States by 50% by halving the number of green cards issued. The bill would also impose a cap of 50,000 refugee admissions a year and would end the visa diversity lottery.
5-Nationwide e-verify: This simple measure will protect jobs for unemployed Americans.
6-End welfare abuse: Applicants for entry to the United States should be required to certify that they can pay for their own housing, healthcare and other needs before coming to the U.S. Conversely, many of the phony contenders for the Democratic nomination to run against the incumbent POTUSDJT, have stated that part of their platform is to continue to GIVE entitlements to illegals.
Additionally, one such candidate, Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY), continues to pander for both attention and votes by supporting the idea of giving Social Security to illegals. I do wonder how, or if, illegals made a lifetime of contributions to Social Security. Doubt it. Another delusional oligarch.
7-Employ a meritocracy based program for immigrants to gain a visa, with an eventual path to citizenship.
8-Deport anyone who appears at the border without documentation.
As reported by the leftist bootlicking, President Trump hating rag New York Times, POTUSDJT stated, “All Americans are hurt by uncontrolled illegal migration. It strains public resources and drives down jobs and wages. Among those hardest hit are African-Americans and Hispanic Americans.”
President Donald John Trump made sure to point that out to Blacks and Hispanics in this country. There is a major divide between second, third and fourth generation Hispanics and new arrivals, who appear to take jobs. A recent Quinnipiac University poll found that 54% of blacks and 55% of Hispanics thought immigrants’ illegal crossing of the border with Mexico was an important problem. Additionally, 31% of Blacks and 40% of Hispanics believed in using the National Guard to patrol the border with Mexico, with 25% of Hispanics supporting the building of southern border wall. Working-class Blacks are significantly more supportive of policies that seek to decrease the number of immigrants coming to the United States, increase the federal role in verifying the employment status of immigrants (E-verify) and attempts to amend the Constitution’s citizenship provisions. However, the unhinged, orthodox, extremists of the left, have maintained that there is no evidence of an emergency at the southern border. Their warped opinions are supported by the dregs of the cosmopolitan biased, cultural supremacist corporate mainstream media and the egotistical elites of the entertainment industry.
This ongoing major issue reflects the fraudulent stance lead by Pelosi, Schumer and their House puppets regarding illegal immigration. Notice I did not say legal immigration. The leaders of the orthodox, unhinged, extremist liberal left choose not to separate the two. If you take the time to research the weak and pathetic history of addressing the immigration problem, Bubba Clinton in 1995 during his State of the Union speech, Barry Obama in 2005 and lying Hillary in 2014, all stated that illegals should not be permitted into the country and should subsequently be deported. By the way, Schumer in 2009 stood on the Senate floor pontificating the evils of illegal immigration. Now, with a real leader in the White House, everything is resistance and disrespect. Democrats applauded wildly. Now they curse and condemn President Trump for the same words.
In 2013, all 54 Senate Democrats, that’s a majority if you will, voted to pass a bill that gave $46 billion for border security, which included building an additional 700 miles of border fencing. Obama did nothing! At the beginning of 2018, the orthodox extremists of the liberal left were willing to work with POTUSDJT by compromising $25B for DACA and a border barrier. If you recall, the original number wanted by Schumer and Pelosi was 800K DACA kids. President Trump upped that to 1.6M, with a possible path towards citizenship. Of course, Pelosi and Schumer condemned the deal because it would have given POTUSDJT a win. The $5B the President currently wants for the southern border is a mere 1/10 of .01% of the Federal budget. Congress continues to be stagnant regarding the revision of immigration laws.
According to the Center for Immigration Studies, they crunched the numbers and found that the current population of illegal immigrants will drain nearly $750 billion from taxpayers over their lifetimes, amounting to six times the deportation costs. According to another study, current immigration policy imposes as much as $300 billion annually in net fiscal costs on U.S. taxpayers.” The second set of numbers are from Dec. 15, 2018.
Shockingly, the leftist agenda supporting NY Times had to finally admit that President Trump’s insistence on revising and also enforcing border laws is working, despite the resistance from the unhinged, orthodox extremist liberals. As a case in point, immigrants seeking asylum are now having to wait in Mexico or their home countries before their cases are heard. This eliminates the incentive to enter the United States at a port of entry, seek asylum, be given a court date and disappear, never to be heard from again. Until this POTUS, if an immigrant entered the country, pleaded for amnesty and as previously stated, they disappeared.
Moreover, Mark Morgan, Obama’s former CBP Chief, stated, “How many more statistics have to be provided, how many more Angel Families have to stand before the Democrats finally acquiesce and agree that the danger is real? This resistance is absolutely being driven by identity politics. The experts have spoken, from ICE and CPB, telling Congress what they need to protect our borders, for the safety and security of this country. The Congress has absolutely ignored it and discounted everything that has been said there will be Americans that will continue to die from this reckless behavior.” Imagine an Obama appointee supporting POTUSDJT, contradicting Pelosi and Schumer. Let’s not forget to acknowledge the ramblings of the brainless Representative Alexandria Octavio-Cortez, who also blames the influx of illegal immigration on climate change. Oy!!

In regard to the crisis at the southern border, we need to thank the officers of CBP and ICE for doing a difficult job enforcing laws that need to be changed and mirror those of Canada. Recently, CBP announced “its largest fentanyl bust ever,” seizing 254 pounds of the synthetic opioid, enough to kill 57 million Americans. In addition, ICE has arrested 266,000 criminal illegal immigrants over a two-year period. Those arrested faced 100,000 assault charges.
Finally, it’s quite simple to understand the reasoning behind the Democratic Obstructionist Liberal People’s Socialist Party’s resistance at any cost, harassment and hatred of President Donald John Trump. Let’s go back to the evening of November 8, 2016. On that night, POTUSDJT handily defeated the odds on favorite to win 2016 Presidential Election, the treasonous, money laundering, lying, delusional scoundrel, Hillary Clinton. What he has summarily done is expose the hypocrisy, the greed and the ongoing power grab conducted by the unhinged, orthodox, authoritarian, extremists of the liberal left and the never-Trumper Republicans, such as former Senator John McCain (R-AZ), who was a conduit for the salacious, DNC and Hillary Clinton paid Russian dossier. But, that’s for another day. President Trump simply wants to make the country safer by implementing smart immigration laws that need to be as tough as our northern neighbor. The biggest roadblock or gridlock to solving the illegal immigration situation is the Congress of the United States of America. Vote them out!
